Hello,

49 days from today, my fiance and I leave for our wedding/honeymoon on STX. We are beyond excited! Not only the wedding, but three weeks on the island, too!

Can anyone give me their top 5 restaurants on STX? I would love to have an idea of where to go for what and how pricey they are. We love everything from a really good burger and fries to elegant French dining.

We would love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks,

Lisa

When my husband and I were in STX back in February, the two places I enjoyed the most were Breezez and Tutto Bene.

We also went to Changes in L'Attitude for burgers and live entertainment one night and had a great time there 🙂

Congrats! You might want to do a search. There was a HUGE thread dedicated to just this topic not too long ago.

There are sooooo many good places to eat on STX that it is overwhelming. They range from very casual to very nice.
Cheeseburgers in Paradise was a favorite for us on the east end of the island. All seating is outside and it has live entertainment.
Rumrunners on the boardwalk in Christiansted has great food and fun happy hours. I've heard many good things about Tutto Bene, but we never made it there.
I'm sure you'll get many other suggestions, but Linda is right. You should do a search.

Casual and not expensive - Rumrunners, Cheeseburgers, Breezez, Fort Christian Brew Pub, Hole in the Wall. More expensive and very good - Duggan's, Savant, Bacchus, Kendricks. The view from the Lounge/ Dining room of the Buccaneer is great, the food is good, but expensive. There are lots of reviews on the board so do a search to get more feedback. There are lots more good places to eat.

We have not tried all that have been mentioned but agree with Duggans & Brew Pub (beer mon!). We stayed at the Buccaneer & the food was very good & as mentioned the view was great. One not metioned that we liked is The South Shore Cafe. Looks like will be back the same time you're there.

Have FUN!

I agree about going to Joanne's thread posted above. We've tried all she recommended and it was definately helpful. Last year we bypassed The Bombay Club downtown because it wasn't that appealing from the outside. BIG MISTAKE! This Feb we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised at the interior--- much bigger and nicer than we expected! The food was great-- the ranch/ garlic dressing was exceptional! Just an overall great atmosphere.

Another restaurant we bypassed last year because it didn't "look appealing" was Savant. Another surprise this year! We totally enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.

We had lunch at the Cormorant one day and liked it alot. The sandwiches were about the same as our favorite Rumrunners and I enjoyed sitting at the tables right at the beach. It was crowded that day, too, seemed pretty popular. Maybe the poster above just had a bad experience on their visit. That does happen anywhere!

This may sound strange, but my husband and I enjoyed the food out at the Just In Case Deli at the Reef Condominiums as much as the upscale restaurants we went to! The lady out there makes absolutely delicious pastries-- huge muffins, cinnamon rolls, ect. all fresh daily and the best tuna and chicken salad I've ever tasted. We found ourselves passing up on going to a restaurant on some days and just running up the road to load up on her goodies to eat on our balcony and enjoy the view in front of us! What a life! (and how I'm missing it now 🙂 )

Go to Frederiksted! Great Mexican food at Coyote Cafe, watch the beautiful sunset and eat exceptional food at Sunset Grill north of town, Le St. Tropez for wonderful French food, Sand Castle on the Beach has very tasty food and eat the best Sushi on the island at Rhythms at Rainbow Beach on Friday nights!
