Hello All,
I've been reading over the posts and enjoying the mini vicarious vacations I'm getting from all of the trip reports. My wife and are currently planning a vacation for next spring (Mid May) and we have pretty well decided on heading to the USVI, in particular St. John. Primarily we are interested in heading to a place where we can kick back and relax.

I was hoping to get some recommendations on villas for a week on St John, preferably on the Cruz Bay side of the island as I think my wife will not care much for the roads heading over to the central or eastern side of the island. It's her vacation to and she doesn't need to be "white knuckled" while riding back and forth to the villa every day

We are looking for a nice villa with a jacuzzi and preferably a pool that is non-smoking and does not allow pets. Also we have got to have A/C in the bedroom at least. Not that I'm against ocean air breeze to cool off, but having the A/C has an option is a must. Somewhere in the $2k-3k price range.

Looking over some of the accommodation links off VINOW I’ve found a few
Chez Shell: http://www.vivacations.com/viewproperty.aspx?PropertyID=2581

Amorita: http://www.vivacations.com/viewproperty.aspx?PropertyID=17522

Simply Paradise: http://www.vivacations.com/viewproperty.aspx?PropertyID=11769

And Villa IntimaSea: http://www.vivacations.com/viewproperty.aspx?PropertyID=9892

Are there are any others I should consider? Also does anyone have any thoughts on these?

Just FYI, most villas don't allow pets. In fact, I can't think of one that does.

We really liked Gallows point. Upper level ocean view is good. I think we were in 4C.
It has a small pool, but we found that we were mostly in the ocean anyway.
The view was fabulous with great sunset views. The walk to Cruz Bay is very short. I can send you some pictures if you e-mail me. I can't figure out how to attach them to this message. I would definitely stay there again, but this time we are taking the family. Gallows Point condos are better for couples.
