Hi Marty, I have read your review of the Concordia ecotents- now! please answer the question that no one seems to know, is there hot, ready to drink coffee at the little registration/store at Concordia???? I need/want my one little cup in the AM but hate the idea of packing the stuff needed to make my own cup in the early AM- you know, the hubbie is still sleeping, the sun is rising, the air is peaceful and I just wanna drink that one cup and enjoy that peaceful moment. Do they sell that hot steamy beverage ready to go at the Ecotents store/reg building??? Thanks a bunch

I have never seen a coffee pot in there, and, once registered, I only go back there to drop off my key and laundry. I would guess "NO", due to the fact that you have a kitchen in your tent.

How about a jar of Folgers? Then all you need do is heat water on the stove...

Yuck, but hey, thanks for the suggestion- my alternative to home brew is the microwave coffee bags that do okay with boiling water too. Either way, its STJ so who cares, I'm happy just be going back!

Hey Karrieb,

Another alternative if you want that fresh brewed taste is to take packets of "One Fresh Cup". They are little individual filter brewer packets that allow you to brew a single serving of their gourmet coffee using boiling water. The little filter sits on top of your cup and you pour the water into it. They are kindda cool and taste quite good.

good information! I'm a backpacker, and you'll always find a plastic bag with the Folger's "coffee bags" in my backpack. And SO much better than instant! And I've see the little filters that sit on top of your coffee cup, but have never tried one, guess I'll ask Santa!

Thanks Auntie, I never heard of these but will be on the lookout for how big they are (I pack wicked light). There are also those melita one cup filters but again, its packing the "stuff" to make this one silly cup happen. Actually, what I look forward to is the hot cup of something while looking at the sunrise, leaning on the railing of the deck, listening to the island sounds, all the good atmospheric/ vacation stuff so the dumb cup of coffee is just part of what I dream about.

They are individually wrapped (thus lightweight). Try www.onefreshcup.com
