yes I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on the virgin islands. My family and I are tryingt to plan a Xmas vacation, and have always traveled to the Abacos, Bahamas. We are maybe wanting to come to the virgin islands, but have never been. How expensive is it to get there, andn could anyone tell me a nice place to stay with a good beach, for 14, we would need 3 seperate units.

Thank,.

Tami

Tami:

For family, convenience and economy (but remember this is high season) try Point Pleasant Resorts on St. Thomas. They have condo units which can accommodate 4 to 6 people, each. Ask for the units on the top of the hill (for best view).

we stay at Chenay Bay - they are moderate to inexpensive (inexpensive is not actually inexpensive - but they are not one of the more expensive STX places). They are not typically fully booked when we are there. In fact, no place in STX seems that busy during the actual holidays.

Airfare will depend on where you are traveling from.

Hello Tami,

Which island are you interested in? (This board is about the US Virgin Islands, and there are four islands... ) If you have not narrowed it down... you might read through the island guides on this site; at the top of this page there is a link to each island. You can also order print books/material to help you decide and plan; there are a few books at the top of this page photographed and they link to more information.

Where are you traveling from... as mentioned flight price depends on this. What type of accomodation are you looking for?

If you're going to St, John, try Starlit Escape Villa. It's one of the bigger villas there and my sister, who checked around last week, was told they had Xmas availability.
