Just an average Joe, looking to relocate to your area(s) and though it will still be about another year before I make the move I'm wondering if there is a hot line of employment in the area I should focus on. I realize hospitality is big there but I've always been more of a Jack of all trades type of guy who enjoys doing something different more so than a single job over and over again. I really don't need to work anymore, but it is a nice addition to the pocket. So should I brush up on any skills that I may already have? I don't suppose shoveling snow would be of any help there now would it, lol ! !

Go to www.vimovingcenter.com which is VINow's site specifically designed for people such as you. There's a ton of information there about living and working in the USVI along with moving stories and everything else you need to know. Plus there's an active forum - LOTS of stuff to absorb. Good luck!

If there is a particular trade - plumbing, electrical, roofing, cisterns, etc. that you enjoy more than other trade you might well consider getting some kind of education and license that you could then use here to become locally licensed as well.
