Being an escort to an island dog when flying home......
The STT shelter does an amazing job but this week faced a difficult decision - they had to euthanize due to overcrowding at the shelter and will face the same difficult decision this week so I ask, if you can be an escort to a no kill shelter in the States when you fly home to please please offer to help.
All arrangements are made by the shelter, you pay nothing just escort a dog (the dog goes in cargo so you dont even see it until baggage claim you just have to check it in) and will be met upon landing from a representative from the shelter Stateside
You have to be flying AA or Delta as they are the only two airlines that will transport
Thanks everyone

Pia,
My wife and I are flying down Saturday and returning home Thursday 31st; flying through ATL on Delta. Would a shelter intercept the daog in Atlanta, or would the dog fly all the way to Shreveport, LA. BTW, we have a very well respected no-kill shelter here named Robinson Rescue. We would consider helping out, but there are so many variables/questions????
We are now "owned" by three shelter pets: to black kitty cats and a 75lb Choc Lab.
Please call the shelter at 340-775-0599 or just let me know (you can post me here) and I will call and find out
Thanks so much for being willing to help
