I was wondering what you all do for work, and are there alot of jobs available? A friend of mine told me there was a refinery there. Are there administrative jobs there? Do they have their own medical facility? It looks so beautiful. My friend is visiting there for the first time next weekend and I can't wait to see her pictures!
Depends on the island, really....on STX, where Hovensa Oil Refinery is, there are a lot of jobs there, but they import a lot of their people from off island...and house, them, feed them, get them to and from work...in addition to moving them down! Now wonder we pay so much for gasoline! Sheesh! As far as trying to get a job there? Gee....I'd guess Google to find contact info and get in touch with Human Resources. You could go to www.viphonebook.com and browse thru the White Pages or just call (340) 692-3000. I am not aware of their own medical facility, but I'm sure they must have a First-Aid department...sh*t, since I sell medical equipment and supplies for a living, maybe I should stop there! Haha!
On STT, most jobs are in the tourism industry...same with STJ, but more of a slant towards DPNR and the whole Park Sysytem....
