Hello. I've seen posts mention Woody's Happy Hour, and have done a search for times - found 3-6pm. Can anyone tell me is this daily? Times still the same? And finally, would you consider Woody's to be much more a "bar" than a "restaurant" (I gather they have both food and drink, but if the emphasis is more on the "drink", I would assume less likely to be appropriate for kids)?

Thanks for any info!

Everytime we go to Woody's the Happy Hour time is always the same which is 3-6pm. We have a 9 year old and a 16 year old and they go with us everytime we go in there. I think it's suitable for kids, but maybe after 10pm it wouldn't be considering it might get a bit rowdy then. Hope this helps!

Woody's is definitely a bar first, a restaurant second. You can visit their website, have a look at the photos that they post and get a sense of what the atmosphere is like... If it doesn't suit your tastes, there are plenty of other places in Cruz Bay.

Woodys is no bigger than about 12X20 so don't expect a sit down relaxed experience. It is a nosy local bar crowd.

I would bring my kids to Woody's for one or two, but it is right on the street and the cars are plenitful right out front - if they are young, keep an eye on them. I prefer the Beach Bar for the kids - they can play on the beach or in the water while you sit back and enjoy a drink and the view. They also have really good blackened mahi sandwiches! JMHO!

I really didn't see the draw of Woody's. It is VERY small and tight and the kitchen looked very dirty to me. Maybe stop by for a drink, but i won't eat anything there.

Thanks to all for the info! Actually my "rowdy bar crowd" days are behind me (well, to be honest , have been behind me for awhile), so this may not be the best use of our time. Thanks again for painting a picture for me.

I agree with you there Connie 🙂

My favorite place for Happy Hour (if we can pry ourselves away from the beach) is the Lime Inn. They have really good frozen drinks, and their happy hour special is either buy one get one free or half price...I can't remember.

TeresaRae

LOL

"They have really good frozen drinks...", "...their happy hour special...", "...I can't remember."

Lime Inn should advertise that and you should get a commission. 🙂

LOL Chris.

They could pay me my commission in tasty frozen drinks or prime rib.

I'm really not a big drinker, but their frozen drinks are just so good! And I love beef but don't have it often in STJ...but I had excellent prime rib at the Lime Inn last year 🙂

Woody`s would be fine for kids. It is close to the street which for me would be a problem unless we were seated inside. As for food, quite good also. The shark bites were great!
