I am a woman seeking work in sales, marketing, retail, hospitality or bartending in St Thomas. I am hardworking, independent and have over 8 years of experience in management. Relocation assistance preferred but not mandantory. Please contact me with a job description and I can send over a resume.
Thank you
This is a board directed to visitors to the USVI. I doubt you will reach your target audience. That being said, let me give you more bad news. Unless you have specific skills, medical or maybe teaching, no employer will hire you until you are standing in front of them. Too many people plan to relocate and too few do.
This is a visitor's travel forum. You should post in the classified section. I will tell you though and with all due respect that your chances of landing a position here from off island are next to nil. Also, unless you're already employed in upper management by a hotel chain or some other large company which operates down here and who would transfer you, relocation assistance would never be given.
If you would like to find out more about relocating, living and working here you should click onto this site's VI Moving Center which is linked at the top of this page.
This "great minds" routine really has to stop, Ric!!!
It is getting embarassing.
Huh. And here I was planning to print my resume and pass it out at the resort in a few weeks! SMH.

Hey, at least you'll be on island and available for an interview so give it a whirl! 😀
Thank you for the positive feed back. I have 4 phone interviews set up already though so it must not be completely impossible. Thanks again.
Just be careful. I'm highly sceptical about your having four telephone interviews already set up as this just isn't the "norm" by any stretch unless you're in the highest echelon of corporate management, or an established teacher or medical professional, and even then that's not the norm. Trust me that there are several unscrupulous employees here who prey on potential off-island newbies, offer them what seem to be highly desirable positions, free or low-cost living accommodation for a period and sometimes even a loaner car. Over almost 30 years I've seen countless newbies come wearing rose-colored goggles and I've seen them go home after a few months with nothing but empty wallets and their tails between their legs. I hope your adventure turns out better.
