*Hello. I'll be visiting St. Thomas and St. John in May 2003. We are interested in purchasing wine prior to boarding the ferry to Caneel Bay Resort, St. John. Is there a wine store that you recommend near the ferry dock? Thanks in advance for your advice.

As long as you're renting a vehicle on St John, you might want to wait until you get to Cruz Bay and shop at Star Market. They have a decent selection and it will save you the trouble of stopping off on your way from the airport. Its just a few minutes from the ferry dock. Might even bump into you....we're going to St John in May, too.

If going to Red Hook to get that ferry you could stop at Plaza Extra, Kmart or Marina Market or shop in St. John like Kurt suggested.
