I just read this on another board. Windsong sounds great.

"The Sunshine Sisters Do Do the Rendezvous View----Friends of Gina's who have a condo at Lavender Hill also own a home overlooking Rendezvous Bay. One evening, they invited us, as well as a couple of the other LH owners, to a little cocktail party. Keeping in mind that I am a small town gal with very simple tastes, you will understand how I was blown away with the entire evening. The owners were very hospitable and friendly and they gave us a wonderful tour of the entire "estate". The home is called "Windsong" and you can see it on-line but the photos don't do it justice. It has just recently been redecorated and the pics simply can not capture the incredible view of the bay from every room. Although the house is a $Multi-bizillion.00 property, the view is PRICELESS!

I'll put a little plug in for the owners---Windsong is available for rent and you would not forget the experience of staying in this lovely home.

The pebbly beach is ever so private and accessible down a path from the pool area. The grounds are impeccably kept and we were impressed with live orchids growing out of little niches in the walls surrounding the house.

The house would be ideal for a large group (like some Krewes we know) or a large family. With 6 bedrooms and 5.5 baths, there is plenty of space. Two of the bedrooms are in a separate guest house and the lower part of the main house contains a complete apartment. "

My fiance and I are getting married on Hawksnest and we rented the house so that all of our friends could go! Glad to hear some good feedback. I also have the number of the lady that I rented it from. I think that she gave me a little deal. Her name is Kathy Demar and she rents a lot of great villas on STJ. Her number is (340)776-6094.

Also, there are new pictures on the following site that I think are much better.

Kathy sent me these about a week ago. I think that they are pretty recent!

By the way, how long does it take to get from Rendezvous to Cruz? I usually stay on Hawksnest and don't know that side of the island too well.

When you are ready to return to St John, try the South Shore Villa. It's to be completed by April and has a great website www.stjohnrental.com It has everything one could imagine including a large infinity edge pool. The villa sits 700ft in the air along the coast of the South Shore. One of the nice looking places I've seen in years.
