Hi guys,
I'm staying at Point Pleasant from 6/1-6/7. I may try out parasailing and windsurfing (I've never done either). Any suggestions on who to go through? Should I set up in advance or do they normally have openings in early June if I just show up?

Hi Coop,

Got back from Point Pleasant yesterday, you will love it there.

The Wyndham next door definitely does parasailing. My husband and I just walked over and signed up for Waverunners on the spot (for safety, they send you out in a group with a "guide" that you follow), and I can't imagine you'd need too much advance notice for the parasailing either. I think they also do windsurfing a couple times a week, might have to sign up in advance for that one. Maybe check their web site or call (Wyndham Sugar Bay). They're so close and convenient that they'd be my first choice.

Don't be afraid to ask questions while at PP, everyone is so unbelievably nice and helpful. Debbie at the giftshop/activities desk (by Fungis) can arrange all kinds of activities for you (including those at the Wyndham) and give advice. If you want to join a group for a snorkel sail, the whiteboard at the activities desk will list how many openings are left for each day's sail.

Hello there! I will be staying at Point Pleasant next week. We leave the 19th. We really want to go jet skiing. When you said "waverunners" you mean jetskis? I have gone at Coki before and you go by yourself and its $50 for 30 minutes. It was worth and i had a ton of fun cause we saw soo many sea turtles....but i would like to go longer. Thanks in advance.

Yes, jetskis. Honestly, I think it was $60/half hour, and you'd travel the exact same area as with a Coki rental, so if you can get $50 at Coki go for it.

We were trying to go jetskiing the morning after Carnivale closed, and independent vendors were nowhere to be found (very quiet, seems everyone took the day to sleep off the festivities). That's island time, right, just go with the flow. 🙂

What is it about STT that's so addictive, I've only been home 2 weeks and I already want to start planning my next trip!
