Hi all.. we're headed to paradise at the end of February and will be staying at Sapphire Beach. Can anyone tell us the best way to get to Willy T's from St. Thomas? We were there in 2004 but went with friends who took us in their own boat. I know I've seen some postings on this board before regarding Willy's but I'll be darned if I can find it. We're freezing out butts off in Illinois so can't wait to get to the land of Sun, Sand and Surf!

You will either need to go on an excursion that stops there, such as Magic Moments or Breakaway, or rent a boat for the day, with or without a captain (depending on your boating experience and knowledge of the local waters), and go on your own.

Thanks Marty. Do you know how we can contact either Magic Moments or Breakaway? Are they located close to Sapphire Beach or Red Hook?

I visited those web sites and the Willy T was not mentioned.

No, the William Thornton http://www.williamthornton.com/about.html is not mentioned as a stop on their websites, but I have seen both boats at the Willy T numerous times. They each have trips that follow an itinerary, or you can have them on a private charter and go where you like.

Let us know if you get a "t-shirt" We always take The Ocean Runner boats out of Cruz Bay ST. J. They are reasonable and will take you anywhere for the day..Request CLEVE for a captain. He is great. Have fun!

Hey Cricket..
Only way I'll be getting a T-shirt is if I buy one! Probably would have done the "jump" about 30 years ago, but have grown "older and wiser"... Ha Ha....NOT. Anyway, thanks for the tip on Ocean Runner. We will be on St. John at least once so will check them out. Only 44 more days!!

I saw a web site for a boat called Sea Gypsy that does a snorkel trip and they said they have lunch at the Willy T. http://www.cathypacko.com/
