I'm looking for a hotel to stay in for the day that we are in St. Thomas before heading to the airport? Does anyone have a recommendations among these?

Best Western Emerald Resort
Marriott Frenchman's Reef
Secret Harbour Resort

Maureen - Well Marriott is the nicest of the three choices if your budget isn't a concern. Marriott runs anywhere from $250-$400 per night. My personal choice, since I am on a budget, is Best Western Emerald Beach. It's only 1/4 mi from airport, on a lovely beach, and only $125-$150 per night.

I booked the Best Western Emerald Beach for March 15 and was quoted a price of 259. plus tax. How did you get such a good rate? Maybe I should call back and try again!

This is their high season (as a whole not just the hotel). The rates are $219-$259 either direct or on expedia.com or others until the end of April. After that they go down to $125-$150. Sorry!

You might also consider the Crystal Palace, Ronnie's place.

Hi Maureen;
My family and I spent 7 nights at the Marriott. It felt like we were living in the "lap of luxury". We loved it so much we're heading back there again! Try hotels.com for a room-they tend to have terrific rates. Be careful though as they WILL fluctuate. When you think you have a good deal TAKE IT.
