I'm spending super bowl weekend on St. John with my 14 year old son, and need to find a good place to watch the super bowl. We're Giants fans, so if they're in, we really do want to see and have a good view of the game. Staying at Maho, and not planning to rent a car, so a little bit concerned about getting a taxi back that late in the evening. There will be an excursion to Skinny Legs, but I'm wondering if it will be too crowded to really watch the game. I hear you can watch it from the beach at the Westin, but worried about getting back to Maho. Any other options? Are my concerns about getting a taxi justified? Thanks!
High Tide in Wharfside Village would be a good spot. Get there early, get a good seat at the bar, should be a lot of fun since the owners are big sports fans. I think that you should be able to get a taxi back to Maho without too much trouble. The taxi stand is a stones throw away from High Tide. Enjoy!
Skinny legs sets up a huge movie style screen, you'll have zero problem getting a good view of the game.
Take the excursion there, you won't be sorry.
I second Skinny Legs but if it's NY v NE you better come thick skinned as the establishment is strong NE backers. Nothing rude but definitely slanted toward NE, Boston or anyone playing against the Yankees so I would think the Giants might fall into the 'enemy' camp.
Wouldn't worry too much though since SF will beat them to the Super Bowl. 🙂
Thanks for all of the recommendations! Giants are in, and we're headed to Skinny Legs!
As I mentioned, so are the Patriots so be prepared. Last time I looked the Giants get as much love form NE as the Yankees.:D
