Hello -

Based on the schedule I reviewed, the Festival Parade will take place at 11:00 AM at St. John National Park. I would appreciate any recommendations on the best place to go to view the parade. I will have 5 kids with me so I would like the experience to be enjoyable! We will be traveling over on the Water Ferry from Red Hook. What time should I plan to catch the ferry to arrive at the parade on time. Any insights are very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Parade never starts on time so I would say the 10am downtown (if running) or the 10am Red Hook would get you there in plenty of time. Stand anywhere you can find a spot along the road in town - town will be BUSY , HOT and hoppin' so bring your patience and sense of fun 🙂

The balcony of Quiet Mon Pub is the best as the parade 'presents' in front much the same way they do in front of Macy's at Thanksgiving. That said, you will be hard pressed to find a seat after 9:30 AM but we did just as well sitting below in front of La Tapa or across the street. Bring plenty of water and have a wonderful time.
