We will be two females visiting St Thomas for 7 nts in October. Enjoy the beach, snorkeling, sunbathing, nitelife, but also want to explore the island and the local food.
If anyone has seen the Robin Williams movie "Club Paradise", you know we are leary of what to trust.
Not really interested in high rise hotels, something on the beach, but not too far removed from everything else.
Not interested in an all inclusive as we want to explore the island. More interested in cleanliness and friendly staff. Thanks for any input. I put more trust in someone who has been there than a brochure!!!

Look at www.stthomasvirginisland.com.

A very reasonable large and convenient place to stay. Comfortable and private.

I have just the place for you to stay!
100 yds from the beach, very private, yet has all of the amenities of a large
hotel. You can get a really great room with 2 double beds for $107
which includes the 8% VI room tax, and no other hidden charges, 107 is all you pay. ! I have stayed there for 6 yrs and love the place, they just remodeled it for 2002/2003 so its all brand new

They have a new web site, www.amazing-villas.com which is really great and gives you a great tour of the place.

Hi Linda,

I don't know if money is an issue or if you considered St. John. There is a wonderful campsite on St. John. It is Cinnamon Bay. You can stay in little beach cottages, and it is right on the water. You will be in the middle of the National Park. St. John is more than 70% National Park. It is a wonderful place to snorkle, hike and play. There are also some B&B and condos for rent. Only two hotels, the Westin and Cannel Bay. Both a bit pricey.

Good Luck and enjoy your vacation.
