From cruise ship in St Thomas were is ferry to St John? How far away from cruise ship dock?
The down town dock is quite close you might want to think about a taxi toughtoget you there quicker the red hook one is 20mins away
There are two places where ferry's go to St. John from St. Thomas. One is in downtown Charlotte Amalie and the other is in Red Hook. The downtown Charlotte Amalie ferry is a 3 minute cab ride from the Cruise ship dock. The Ferry is located just after the "Vendor's Plaza" where all the tents are setup selling t-shirts and beads. This is right on the main dock extending all across the harbor. This Ferry leaves at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5:30pm. Otherwise it is a 20 minute taxi to Red Hook and the ferry there leaves every hour on the hour.

Not to confuse the issue, but there are now two cruise ship docks on St Thomas- Havensight and Crown Bay. Also if you are on a ship that anchors, you will be tendered to the downtown waterfront.
