Will we be able to get into the water at Coki beach without bumping into cruise people? I heard it was crowded!

Any other good spots?

How is the "snuba" at Coral World?

Thanks!

Hello,

Not sure if you mean bumping into people literally, as if it was so crowded in the water you would be literally bumping into people, OR if you mean without seeing cruise ship people. In any case the answer is No. No you won't be bumping into people and no you won't avoid cruise ship people, there going to be there. Coki is not a quiet beach.

Coki is the best spot for beach and easy access in St. Thomas. There are of course other spots that require boat access and other means.

The snuba is exciting. Particularly if you are not familiar with the underwater world and don't have much experience snorkeling. If you are a pro diver who has explored underwater life many times then it is not for you.

Friends of ours tried BOB and had a blast. Not sure where they got the boat but BOB is like an underwater scooter with a buble helmet and air tanks.

We have lived in St. Thomas for 6 yrs now. I don't prefer coki beach. You can snorkel right off the beach at Sapphire Beach and have a much better, down island view.

My favorite place to snorkel in St. John is at Water Lemon Cay. You park you car at the Annaburg Sugar Mill Ruins and hike along the path on the shore. We normally see Sea Turtles, Star Fish, Octopus, Stingrays, besides all the tropical fish! We stay away from the tourist beaches. Next, would be Maho, or Cinnamon.

In regards to cinnamon beach, how is the current, depth, and how far do you have to swim out to snorkel? We like easy snorkeling for us .
