We are planning a June 08 trip to celebrate our 25th anniv.....I have looked at hundreds of villas online...I'm so confused. Help. What I want: St. John, villa 1 bedroom, would love to walk to beach, $$ 1300-1800/week. Any ideas out there?? Thanks.

There is a small cottage near Villa Serenity near Francis Bay. It's managed by the same person who manages Villa Serenity. It really is a cottage and not a villa in any sense of the word, but it is on the end of a road, very private with great views. We stayed there for a week several years ago and really liked it.

Wondering if you mean Honeymoon Cottage, which is managed by Terry Witham?

It is a good location (at least it's a part of the island that I love---some folks might find it "remote"). It's close to Francis Bay. Has another optional advantage in being close to Maho Bay Campground with it's restaurant and small store.

This looks like it might be the same place, but, wow, have they made upgrades since we've been there.

The place I'm thinking about is at the end of the road Villa Serenity is on. It was a wonderful location, but the cottage was "rustic" to say the least. There was a good sized bathroom, but the only shower was outside on the deck, which tells you exactly how private it was.

We loved it anyway - the price was certainly right. If this is the same place, they have really done a nice job adding to it.
