I've read all about the weather in St John -- hurricane season and the like....

My fiance and I are planning our wedding in St. John, 2008. We are very unsure of when to have it. We were thinking April / May / June timeframe, but I also heard November is best.

What's the real story?

Thanks - I can't wait to See STJ in person. 🙂

I just got married in STJ 2 weeks ago today. I have been going down to the islands for about 10 years and, when I was proposed to, we had a month until our next trip down. I know this is not what you asked, but if you want my opinion about who to use, or any other questions about my experience, feel free to email me!!!

With less than a month to prepare when we got the wedding planner, I couldn't have imagined a more perfect, relaxing, and no stress experience. It was flawless...thanks to the planner.

Best Wishes!!!

A consideration might be your price range/budget. We just got back from my sons wedding which took place on 6/9/07 on Trunk Bay and it was beautiful. The other beautiful thing was that it was off season so the villa rental/jeep rental prices were also off season and the crowds were not there, to me that's priceless. We had good weather, hot but only one day that was sticky. Also need to consider whether people attending will need to work around school/work schedules.
I recommend the trip for a wedding, we had a fabulous time, it really helped us to have someone on the island who knows the different businesses to deal with. Good luck to you.

Get married at Gibney Beach. Tony Simeca was our photographer. He was $300
for the event. We left the beach to go to the reception with the Disk with the photos!
Great photos...Use Stacey as the wedding planner, Best $300 spent. She is
great and detailed oriented. our buffet reception was at caneel bay. it was $30 a person.
again, a bargain.

Trunk Bay is nice, too...but gets crowded...due to it's popularity.

Serendip is where we stayed...a studio is perfect for two. Tom and Nancy
are great. Rates are the best --- you will find on the island.

We chose St. John as it is quiet...no cruise ships like you get in STT.

Best of luck!
Antoinette

Our son was married on St. Thomas in May/2005 at the Frenchman's Reef Marriot. It was fabulous and the weather was perfect. Start planning early.
