*We are looking for wheelchair accessible beaches. We are traveling by cruise ship and docking in St. Thomas and would like to find a handicap accessible beach. We have visited beaches on other islands and have been able to get a wheelchair at the beach made just for the beach. We are also looking to visit Trunk Bay for the hildren and wondering if Trunk Bay has handicap accesibility. Any information on Wheelchair accesible beaches would be greatly appreciated
Thank You, Bev
I don't think that any beach around here, at least the popular ones can be accessed by wheelchair. You would need a chair able to drive on sand though. They do have people that rent them here. I think there is one right across for where most of the ships dock that rents them.

Hello,
On St. Thomas I think Sapphire Beach might be the easiest and most accessiable for a wheelchair... a taxi can pull up right in front of the lobby, the lobby is tiled and then there is a paved walkway to the bar which is paved and open. The bar open area is not far from the water so with assistance the person could be helped to/into the water and or you could sit in the paved area which is right next to the sand and enjoy a few drinks and the view. There are restrooms closeby - I don't recall their accessibility.
