Taking the ferry from Charlotte Amalie to St. John--- is the ferry wheelchair accessible? Arriving by cruise ship for only one day, what would be the highlight must see?

Thanks
Carol

Hello Carol,

In general you board the ferry via a short ramp so with a little assistance yes a wheelchair can get on the ferry. I will call tommorrow and double check for you.

Which island were you looking for highlights on; St. Thomas or St. John??

Hello Carol,

I called and yes a wheelchair can board the ferry. On some of the ferries you will have to stay in the back as the top and inside cabin are accessed by ladder/steps. On other ferries you can stay in the back or in the cabin, the top level would still be ladder accessed so not an option.

Have a great time.
