and go to the classifieds.

you can also go to http://www.career.vi and set yourself up there.

The VI Daily News probably has a much higher readership number than online if you are looking for an on island person to fill a position on St Thomas or STJ.

Another good resource is Craigslist: http://caribbean.craigslist.org/jjj/

I think it really depends on the type of job you need to fill that should determine where you post it for maximum exposure to qualified candidates.

If you think a person with the skill set you're looking for is likely to already be on the island, then the VI Daily News is probably the best place to advertise, because it's read by most people, and what's printed there is also quickly spread by word of mouth.

If you're looking for specialized skills, then the online sources would more likely reach those candidates, though you'll get quite a few responses from people looking to relocate. Career.vi has more credibility for their listings, candidates, and reputation than craigslist.

There's also the VI Dept of Labor, and they'll do the screening for you.

There are a few private placement agencies like Working World, CET Business Services, and Hector and Hector.

You could also try the professional associations here if there is one for the job you're hoping to fill, or the Chamber of Commerce.
