I'll be traveling to STT July 7-12. It's a combo trip(birthday and honeymoon). On my birthday I'd like to go out for some good food and party the night away. Where's a great restaurant on the island? After a good meal my wife and I would like to dance and drink. Any ideas of a good place for some reggae?

There isn't a dedicated reggae club. Soca is what's mostly played in some clubs here that cater to locals. Where will you be staying so we can recommend a place near by.

If you're planning to take the short ferry ride over to St. John at all, I can direct you to some live reggae over there!

Cool. I'll check and see if my friends' band is playing either of those nights!

St. Jon (no 's') will be fun, but I'll bet you'll have just as much fun in Red Hook, and it won't cost you a ferry ride...Duffy's Love Shack might be where you want to go...it gets pretty wild there! Some drinks come with lei's and a sticker that says "I got Lei'd at Duffy's Love Shack"..might be appropriate for your honeymoon! Haha! And there are several good restaurants in Red Hook, as well...it's a short taxi ride from Point Pleasant, and you can walk from the restaurants to the bars...I vote for Red Hook for that night...

Thanks Birdlady and Sis Sara for your assistance. We'll decide once we get on the island and get a feel of the place.

I'm a big fan of Iggies Beach bar located at Bolongo Bay. It's right on the beach, has live music every night and they have great food as well. Have spent many a nights there soaking in the island vibe!

Cheers!
