We will be getting into STX late on Saturday April 8th and will pick up our rental car on Sunday. Are stores open on Sundays? We would like to pick up some groceries and supplies. Where is the best place to shop for price, quality, and convenience?
Also, will anything (stores, restaurants, activities) be closed on Good Friday or between then and Easter day?

I asked this question also about STT on this forum a few weeks ago. The answer given to me was that w/ regard to Restaurants, etc., anything that would normally be open on a Sunday would probably be open on Easter Sunday also. (and inbetween) If anyone has a different information, I would be most interested!!!

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday are all local government holidays. Hope you don't need any govenment services! 😉 Also, it is illegal for restaurants to serve spirits before 4:30 on Good Friday. What is considered spirits is argued every year. Basically, it is a dry day!

Thanks for the reply. Don't think I'll need any government services and I think I can hold out until 4:30 for drinks in restaurants. We'll have some in our refrigerator by then anyway.
Does anyone know what stores are open on Sundays and what the hours might be? Where is the best place to get groceries on Sunday on STX?

Plaza Extra is open on Sunday. They have two locations. One in Sion Farm and one toward the west.

actually, lots of places are closed on Easter Sunday, or close early, even some groceries. What part of the island are you staying in? A villa, or a condo? Many restaurants close on Sunday, but some will have special things cause of Easter. We have taken our family to the Sunday brunch at Carambola most Easters I can recall. Sons are now adults and live in the states, but when they are on island at Easter, they still expect to eat there that day... Most of the tourist activities are open, too.

We will be staying at the Divi Carina Bay Resort. Actually we are leaving St Croix the day before Easter. I was really more interested on what is open or closed on a normal Sunday as we will be getting there Saturday night April 8th. Thanks for any info you can give me.

The closest grocery store to the Divi is Schooner Bay Market and they are open seven days a week.
