We are leaving for St. Thomas on Saturday and were wondering what the dress is for dinner? Thanks!
Trish
Casual is the norm in St.Thomas, but no beach wear at restaurants. Shorts or slacks and tees are fine, would suggest light sweater or jacket as well. Sometimes the a/c is too cool to offset the humidity and some restaurants are outside, if near the water you have a nice breeze. Depending on where you are coming from, it may seem cool. Sundresses work fine but leave any 'fancy' stuff behind. Most visitors bring way too many clothes. We bring 5 prs shorts and tees and bathing suits, pjs and work-out clothes. That's all we need, just do laundry there and we are set. Enjoy your trip.
We live in Shorts, Tees, sandels and sun screen. Oh yeah, bathing suits too. This year I'll bring one pair of dockers (long pants) and a short sleeved dress shirt as there are a couple of places we would like to go out to eat that would call for them. Also if you try to get into the the legislative building you must be wearing long pants if you a male. We bring less and less every year.
