Hi AC-

I don
t "officially" know what time, but I've seen them leave at different times.....as early as around 5:30 and as late as around 8. The best vantage I've found for watching them leave is the Harborview Pool at Frenchman's Reef Resort where you are close enough to the ship to keep score as they play basketball on the ship. Lots of people on the ship will stand out on deck and wave to the people on Frenchman's pool deck, who will wave back. The ships also blow their horns as they go by. This might be for other more formal coastguard reasons, but it alerts everyone that a ship is leaving.

Could have been just a rumor I heard but it was my understanding that criuse ships depart in similar order in which they arrive (i.e., FILO) From our view on Water Island, it seems a similar process to airplanes taking off / landing. Ships waits their turn with someone in the "cat seat" directing the traffic. Also, it seems like most leave just prior to sunset to give their passengers some prime sunset kodak moments.

Hello AC,

It varies. Mostly its around 5-6pm. But it can be later, for example this month there are a few in port until 8pm. There are a couple smaller ships that stay overnight once in a while.
