The night before we departed STT, Sopchoppy's Pub was renamed. There had been a contest crafted by the new owners to rename the place (which overlooks the harbor in Red Hook). Does anyone know the new moniker?

yeah i know it sucks. i can't believe that name won.

someone won like a 500 dollar bar tab for that weak name. i bet they entered that one as a joke.

okay i know its not that bad.

i just really liked the name sopchoppys.

to me it will always be sopchoppys.

When we were there in January they told us it was going to be Loggerheads. It sounds like maybe they changed their mind.

Although the new name may not be very catchy, the view will always remain the same-pretty as ever. It's also a fun place to go for a few drinks.
