*I was wondering what the normal business hours are in the shopping areas.

Thanks, Good Day

Most stores open between 9 and 10 and close at 5. On Sundays they close between 1 and 2, if there are ships in town, if no ships, only a few open. In town, if no ships, some branch stores close and those that are open, close earlier than 5.

Marge,

Not sure which island you are looking for, take a look in the island guides on this site... each island has a shopping section - and it tells about the big shopping areas and the opening/closing times.

Ronnie's answer covers pretty much a large amount of stores, particularly in Charlotte Amalie - St. Thomas. Havensight stores are affected completely by cruise ships... if there aren't any they might not open at all even if its a week day... and on a Sunday if there are ships at the dock the stores are open a full day. St. Croix stores tend to open a bit later... some St. John stores stay open until late in the afternoon.

Check out the shopping sections they will help. Scroll to the top of the page and select St. Thomas, St.John or St. Croix and then choose shopping.
