What about beer? Is it considered part of your 6 bottles alcohol?
Beer is not part of your duty free allotment. And it is slighty more expensive here than in the States, so you probably wouldn't want to buy it here and take it home, anyway.
I'm a big fan of beer. Literally. You should see my gut! As for the beers, there's nothing special in STT or STJ worth bringing home, and the regular stuff (Bud, Heinekin, etc.) is more expensive there so why bother. The only local brew I saw on STJ was something called Blackbeard Ale, which is apparently a brew pub on STX. But the bottled version that was available on STJ was actually contract brewed on the mainland and shipped to the Islands.
I like beer too! However, I'm addicted to distance running so I don't have belly. You can find Seirre Neveda & Sam Adams in STJ & St Croix. Of course you don't want to bring these home either. I've been to the Ft Christian Brew Pub & the beer is good.

Another beer that folks seem to like while down in the VI is Carib. I am not sure where the brewery is but I "think" its on St. Kitts.
Other than Blackbeard Ale and Carib most of the brands are the same as you can find on the mainland.

Foxy's is another brand to look out for on the islands.
I enjoyed a few (or a lot) of Carib's while visiting. If I recall it's from Trinidad.
Carib has a local bottler on St Kitts. Supposedly it doesn't have preservatives so it isn't shipped out. The export Carib is bottled in Trinidad.
I think the bottled Foxy's and Blackbeard's are both from Milwakee. You can get Foxy's on tap at Foxy's and Taboo on JVD.
Another beer to look for is Presidente, from the DR.
When in rum country, drink Cruzan! 😉
"When in rum country, drink Cruzan!"
Heck yeah!
I only drank the beer on bad rum hangover days. 😉
