Does anybody know if the Westin St. John gives last-minute discounted rates for vacancies in the summer? When I was in St. John last July, my girlfriend and I met a couple who said they found a great deal to stay at the Westin about three weeks before they actually traveled.

Any recommendations for websites to find these deals would be welcomed!! Previously, we have only stayed on St. Thomas (twice) but we would love to stay at an all-inclusive resort on St. John if it's somewhat affordable.

Thanks!!

Robert

Hi Robert,

My fiance got a fantastic deal through Liberty Travel for our last trip this past Nov. We booked it sometime in the Spring, however. Although they do offer last minute deals.

We paid $900/person which included 5 nights in a beautiful room right beyond the pool, roundtrip airfare, and the Westin ferry service from the airport.

Regards and goodluck,

Matt

Matt-

Thanks for the information. Sounds like you got a great deal!

Was the all-inclusive plan at the Westin part of your price? Isn't it only an all-inclusive resort, or do some guests elect otherwise?

Would it be better to get the last-minute deals through the resort itself or a travel agency?

Hi Robert,

No, we didn't have meals included. However, the "activity fees" were included, which is access to the beach "toys", snorkle equipment, etc... nothing we used as we didn't spend much time at the resort.

I'm sure some people do go all inclusive -- but they would be missing out. The food is decent at the Westin, but there's many great places to eat on the island -- for less money too.

As far as last minute deals, I'm not sure -- Try some travel agencies... I think the reason we got the deal was the construction at the resort at the time.

Good luck,

Matt
