Cruising in March to St. Thomas, plan to spend the day in St. John. I am wondering if it is possible to taxi to Westin, have lunch, drinks, shop in their store. How about take a swim is this allowed, rent chairs. Thanks

Yes it's definately possible, but why, oh why, would you go to the Westin? It is the only man made beach on the island and would be my last pick !! Try any of the other beaches and you will have a fabulous time. If you need a beach with food try Cinnamon (or Trunk but Trunk will be busy) or pick up somethink at the deli and take it with you.

Pia is right! If you aren't staying at the Westin, there's no reason to go there (unless you just want to see it in case you want to stay there on a future trip).

That beach is nowhere near as lovely as the others on the island. Last pick, for sure.

Try Caneel Resort....use the beaches there (to die for!!!!) and have lunch/drinks there!!!
