booked our trip to stt for may 1st to may 9th. CAN'T WAIT. just found out that its also carnival time so it should be interesting. four of us 40 somethings staying at watergate condos - owner threw in 8th night for free so we're taking it (got great price on airfare from boston too). cant wait to wander over to iggie's, visit with our friends who live on island, visit st. john and experience carnival. anyone else going to be on island with us?????

If you are going to rent a car, make sure to do that soon. My dad stayed at our place last year and had a hard time finding anything to rent.

Have fun and be careful. It can get crazy here! Molly is definitely right about the car too. Don't wait. Taxi prices are insane. Also, bear in mind many of the restaurants (at least the downtown ones) close during Carnival. So just be flexible and you'll have a great time!
Do you know the exact dates for carnival? I am going to be there starting May 12th for one week.
