Hey everyone,
I finally have our places to stay for our trip down in October, what a relief!
My question to you all is, does anyone know of either a company or private person who can get our condo (on St. Thomas) set up with a welcoming basket for our arrival. We will be celebrating our wedding anniversary while we are down there & I thought I would like to surprise the hubby with some items already set up when we arrive. Items like RUM (of course!) juices, Beer, bottled water, fruit, snacks.....
I have yet to ask the owner of our condo we rented, he may know of someone.
Any info would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cheryl

Less than 10 weeks to go! YEA-HA!

Where on STT is the condo? I'd suggest contacting the owner first unless there is a "greeter"assigned to you, in which case I'd contact him/her. It's not an unusual request and shouldn't be a problem. Cheers!

Talk to the owner. I've had champagne & glasses put in for my guests (most get rum&coke). This is something my manager takes care of.

You could also reach out to Grocery Goddess on STT, order from their web site http://www.grocerygoddesses.com/, and then connect them with your villa's property manager so they can deliver prior to your arrival.

Cheryl,
I have recently been in touch with someone who does baskets. Check out this website:

Don't know first hand, but I've read about this person.

I have someone who will go shopping for you. You tell her what to get and she will deliver it, set it up, and it will be ready for your stay.

PM me if interested.

Second the Grocery Goddesses - we provisioned a villa through them in '07 and they were great. They were very easy to work with, attentive to detail and they even knew how much of soda, beer, water, to put int the fridge so we would have enough too start but would not overpower the fridge. They took care of contacting the villa owner and arranging for access.

8-)Thanks everyone for all of your suggestions so far. I really do appreciate it!
We will be staying on St. Thomas for 5 days, ( staying in a condo at Watergate Villas East at Bolongo Bay) & St. John for 9 days! Here we have rented a villa called Bayview.
I think that just the set up in St. Thomas will be enough. We will be there when it is our anniversary. That is what I wanted it for.
Any other tips & suggestions from anyone would be so greatly appreciated since this is going to be our first time down to the islands.
I have studied the message board going back a year and a half. Read most of them. Have taken many notes!
Rented a jeep through Dependable as suggested by many, very nice people.
Thanks again all! Your the best!
Counting down the days till paradise calls!
Cheryl

Sally , Randy's wife has made numerous welcome baskets for us over the last few years and they have been awesome. Ask for her -- Randy's Bistro 340-775-5001
