*My fiance and I are visiting St. Thomas in two and half weeks, and recently we decided to get married down there. I contacted a wedding planner, and began planning the wedding. Recently however, contact has stopped and I can't get ahold of her. Since I have not given her any money yet, I am looking to plan it myself. I need advice on whether or not it is possible to get a Justice of the Peace, or some other officiant to marry us on the beach. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.
Erin,
Jeff, the pool bartender at Bluebeard's Beach Club is an ordained minister. When I was there in August I was a guest at a wedding he performed on the beach. (Anyone drinking bushwackers at the bar that day was an invited guest!) I have to tell you it was one of the most beautiful weddings I've seen. The number for Bluebeard's Beach Club is 340 776 4770. I'd love to hear from you how things worked out.
Gerie
Thank you so much for your help!
Hello Erin,
Have you sumitted a wedding license application to the Courts in the VI yet? (The marriage license application fee is $100 ($50 for application fee and $50 for the license). There is an 8 day waiting and processing period, which can be waived depending on circumstances. The application is good for 1 year. Court marriages in front of a judge are performed on weekdays by appointment and will cost around $200.)
Yes you can get an officient to just perform the wedding and you do the flowers, cake, limo or anything else you might want. You might see if either of the following offer just a basic package of performing the ceremony...

You might call the territorrial courhouse and ask them for a recommendation.
