Looking for a small beach ceremony and a unique reception idea afterwards. I love the large rocks I have seen on pictures of a couple beaches like Hawksnest bay and Jumbie bay on St John. Like this picture:

Any advice on a quite beach for the ceremony with beautiful landscapes for pictures?

Also any ideas for a unique reception?

Thanks!!! 🙂

Honeymoon Beach on Water Island is a beautiful setting for a wedding and it's quiet. Local resident, Heidi Erwig, is gourmet chef, can cater and you can reserve the Beach Pavillion for the reception.

I agree Honeymoon beach is a beautiful place for a wedding and reception/party. You would not have to worry about cruise ship crowds interferring. Water Island is very private.

There are no hotels/condos. There are a handful lovely homes offerred for rent for the honeymoon and for guests-- if you want them there with you on Water Island.

Beaches are private. It is really away from it all so you can enjoy!!

Check out www.slowmocean.com We have two houses we offer for rent when we are not there--Slow Mocean and Palm Cottage. The Cottage is a perfect honeymoon getaway.

Thank you for the information. We will actually be coming in by cruise ship so no need for a honeymoon location 😉

Since you're only going to be here for one day, probably better if you plan your event on STT rather than on STJ. There are some lovely wedding locations on STT and suggest you hire a local wedding coordinator who will plan exactly what you want. If you do a search on this forum you'll find a bunch of recommendations from others who have done the same thing. All the very best and cheers!

Hi Carla,
Beach - Hawknest! You can plan your wedding on STJ even tho you will be here for one day, but you will want to get started fairly early! I'm not much help when it comes to the catering part in STJ tho! Hope you enjoy your day!

Eric Johnson is the photographer for paradise pictures, he does excellent work!

Carla,
This is a little off topic, and maybe you have already taken care of this, but here is the info anyway.
USVI Marriage License Laws
