Hi..I'm going to St Thomas 10/11 to 10/20 I'm staying at the Ritz Carlton and we want to get married on the beach.There packages are way to expensive to get married there . We may be having 15 guest that want to attend. I would like to know which wedding planner comes highly recommended. I am so confused... I want an nice location and also all the trimming and to have cocktails and a finger food for after ??
My daughter is getting married on Magens Bay in St. Thomas on 6/18/2009. We have been working with Tina from Weddings The Island Way (www.weddingstheislandway.com) She has been absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful! Also Sherri, who posts on this site alot, works there too! After the wedding, I will post an update and some pictures of the wedding! But based on how they have helped me already, even before the wedding, I would highly recommend them!

There are a number of wedding planners that can assist you with your wedding. Everyone has one or two that they have had dealings with and would gladly provide you with a link and/or names. The one I am know of is this one.

I was married on Magens Bay 3 years ago and we used Leslie with Perfect Weddings of St. Thomas. We had a wonderful experience with her and loved our wedding.
Sherri with Weddings The Island Way posts here a lot and she is very helpful with anwering questions for anyone. That may be another company to check out.
There are many wedding coordinators on-island, but from personal experience (Perfect Weddings) and from others' recommendations (Weddings the Island Way), those are 2 that I can recommend to you.

is there a place that you can get married on the beach and also have a gathering there for BBQ and cocktails ? Also I'm staying at the Ritz and does anyone know of a hotel that is near by for my guest that is or reasonable in$$$

Try Secret Harbor! Not far away at all OR they could rent Great View Villa! A house for 14 people located out by the Ritz.
