Hello everyone,

Last details remaining for our wedding in February '06 in St. John.

Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions for getting our ceremony videotaped? I'm desperately searching to find someone who will videotape the ceremony so I can bring it back to Vermont and have it for the reception/party?

Also I'm still looking for suggestions on photographers? Does anyone know of someone on St. John who does wedding photography. I'm looking for someone relatively inexpensive and would like their services for about an hour. I'm not looking for a lot of frills and such.... just good photography for our day.

Thanks for your help...Jill

Hey Marty,

Don't know any of those names. We are from the Burlington area. I've been there since 1986. I went to college in Burlington he is born and raised in St. Albans.

Rumor has it you are a jeweler.....?! What can you tell me about the island hook bracelet and getting them engraved?! Thought we might consider them as a wedding gift...!

What's your input on photographers/video persons.?

Thanks for your help.

Jill

We have a few in my store, but my sister store has a jillion of 'em. I also know an engraver, next to Pizza Amore, that will most likely give you a good deal on the engraving.

Todd Hecht is a very good videographer. At my daughter's wedding, he had 2 cameras, and was very unobtrusive. Very nice man. I think his numbers are 3406903344 (cell) and 3407774080 (office).

Thanks for all who responded.... I believe we've locked in both the photographer and videographer. I'm looking forward to meeting both and hoping we've chosen the best for our wedding based on our needs. Now we just have to kick back and wait for February. Thanks again to all who responded, this board has been a gift for planning a wedding in St. John via the internet in Vermont. I thought not getting a wedding coordinator may end up being the death of us but with everyone's input and lots of investigating we've managed to plan the entire wedding/honeymoon by ourselves. Again MANY MANY THANKS to all who helped. Jill

For wedding planning in the USVI, you might also ask on the destination weddings board of www.theknot.com
Lots of very informative, honest, and helpful folks who are returning the favor of the help they received from others.
