Hey All, My fiance and I are getting married at Hawksnest Beach in the future. I'm trying to locate a good photographer who doesn't charge an arm and a leg for shooting a roll of film. The one guy I've emailed told me he charges $425 for the first hour (and we'll need no more than that for sure). Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!!

TomInGig, did you ever find a photographer? I've just begun the search.

I guess the price depends on what you want and where the photographer is - whether on the islands or at home and has to travel. We are bringing our photographer from home because we will get beter photos than what we have found on the island plus we were able to get e-pics done by the same person. You can see our e-pics on our photographer's blog, we are looking forward to the wedding and day-after photos http://www.innovaphoto.blogspot.com

When we got married 2/14/06 on Cinnamon Bay we used Tony Scimeca [email protected] . He was fantastic. Tony took over 160 photos on digital camera. He charged us $300.00 and took the most amazing photos before, during and after the ceremony. When it was all said and done he met us a few days later down in the park near the ferry terminal and gave us a cd loaded with pictures. We took the disc home and now we have tons of pictures to print whenever we want. We don't have to call him for the negatives, we don't have to pay him more money every time we want a photograph and we can enlarge anytime we want. The quality was out of this world and Tony was a great guy to work with. Check him out! Jill

We just got married 1/23/07 on Sugar Beach in STT. We used www.islandweddingservices.com they were terrific! I can't say enough good things about them. Go to their website and click "services" they offer film and digital. We chose the digital for $250. it took about 30/45 minutes, the photographer took about 70 pictures and he burned the CD for us right away to go home with.
Good Luck!

You HAVE to check out Sonya at

www.virginislandsphoto.com

She is not just a wonderful photographer, but a wonderful person! She also will give you the rights to your photos so you can make reprints at your leisure.

She did my wedding at Hawknest and did a wonderful job. She processed my photos and gave me an album and cd before we left to go home.
