Good morning!

We would like to have our wedding on the beach at Magen's Bay. Does anyone have any advice regarding parking, crowds, transportation, how long it takes to pick up the paperwork (I know we have to send papers in ahead of time).

thanks so much!!

Hello Tiffani,

Lots of parking at Magens Bay. The beach gets crowded on Sundays and Holidays with residents enjoying their day off. Busy on weekdays when there are cruise ship(s) in port as its a popular cruise ship passengers destination/stop. Fewer people in the early morning and in the afternoon.

Lots of folks chose Magens Bay for weddings; often coordinators set up an area toward the left of the beach, among coconut palms. I have seen some set up an arch, or put flowers along in the sand. I quess it woudl depend on the wedding package or coordinator.

Transporation; you can get a limo if you want or take a taxi or rent a car for quests.

There is an 8 day waiting and processing period for wedding licenses, which can be waived depending on circumstances. The application is good for 1 year. If you are requesting a marriage license through the mail, without the help of a local wedding consultant you will have to pick up the license yourself on arrival. This can only be done on regular business days. 15-30 minutes for going to the court house and getting the documents.

Congrats.
