Hands down there is only one choice for a day sail wedding. It would have to be True Love. The boat is a classic. Used in the movie High Society with Bing Crosby and Grace Kelly. It is absoulutely beautiful.

The perfect day would be:
Late afternoon wedding on board
Marcus the manager is also a professionally trained chef. Dinner at sunset
Drop off in St John for a honeymoon
Life is Good!

best wishes

I have to cast my vote for Capt Phil on the Wayward sailor...we took a daysail w/ him and he's great...I can only imagine his wedding ceremony to be along the same fine line!..check him out!...@

My husband Jim and I second the recommendation for Captain Phil with the Wayward Sailor.

We are back in the states now. But, we had an unforgettable sunset sail with Captain Phil just a few short weeks ago.

Believe us, he is an incredibly genuine and thoughtful man. We had a wonderful time just spending a couple of short hours with him.

We have no doubt that a wedding ceremony performed by him would hold for you the "special feeling" that that ceremony should hold. FYI: We are thinking of probably renewing our wedding vows with him next year. It is hard to put into words - but, he is just a warm and sincere individual - that is such a rariety to find in today's world.

Ditto Sue and Carolyn. Captain Phil would go out of his way to make sure your wedding is perfect. I admired a charm that his girlfriend was wearing and my husband mentioned that he wanted to buy one for me. After our daysail, Captain Phil walked with us to the store where he bought it and introduced us to the sales girls. His girlfriend Allison has a travel web site that you may find helpful called Rejuvenation Vacations. Here is the link:

Captain Phil is located on St. John out of Cruz Bay. The ferry from St. Thomas drops off in Cruz Bay.

For STX, you can have "Big Beard" (John Macy) perform your wedding ceremony on one of his boats during the day excursions to Buck Island or on a private charter. He performed MY ceremony on Carambola Beach on May 13th, so for those wanting a land-based ceremony he is also an option.
