If cost is not a factor
I would have water taxis
head to STJ
Gibney Beach @ 11 AM
Reception Beach Bar Cruz Bay
Back at the Boat by 4

You can check out St Thomas Wedding Services I'm sure they will be able to help you out with your special day.

A wedding planner is the only way to go where this is concerned and if you do a search on this forum via the search engine using basic key words such as "wedding coordinator St Thomas" you'll come up with many different suggestions from many different people. The license has to be applied for in advance and of course duly picked up. Hundreds of people do it here every year and a wedding coordinator will do as much or as little as you want and work within your budget. As much as TomB's suggestion about the STJ experience sounds lovely, when the couple is here on a cruise ship for just one day. time is of the essence... Cheers!

Sherri, who is a regular poster on this board, is a wedding coordinator with http://weddingstheislandway.com/ She can arrange weddings from the very simple to extremely elaborate. I know she won't toot her own horn, but you can do a search for her forum id, "Sherri," and then send her a private message.

STT Resident - I concur on the time deal
It could only be done with dedicated boats for the wedding party and friends
When in a different locale than home a planner is definitely the way to go

Hello Pat,

In another post you asked about visiting Coral World during your time in port. If your group is trying to do both, visit Coral World and attend the couples beach wedding, then you might want to have the wedding at a beach near Coral World just to save on transportation time. A very beautiful beach that is close and usually is pretty quiet on weekdays is Lindquist or Lindqvist Beach (also called Smith Bay Park). Some wedding planners have weddings there so you can ask the planner you are considering for details. Coral World actually has weddings there also, one stop shop... sea lions for the kids like you mentioned in your other post and a wedding for the couple. 🙂 Here is a link to the St. Thomas Wedding page on this site, has some information including wedding license information, and also lists some wedding planners, photographers etc.

Thanks so much for the info, i have actually been in contact with coral world and we are setting up our group excursion and it hit me also, why not do the wedding in close proximity and we will have more attendee's for both... i was not sure of a nice beach was so close so thanks for that info, i will be talking to sherri, as the bride has decided she wants to ride up on a horse so waiting to see if that is doable..... She wants just a small wedding but the group will be intermixed with the coral world crowd so closeness is a big plus since we are only in port 7-4 that day.....

Hi Pat, wonderful that you are getting the Coral World stuff set up, really sounded like your group was looking forward to it. The horse sounds like a grand entry for the bride - keep us posted.
