*I have been doing research for our wedding and have my heart set on the date of 04/04/04..this is a Sunday...do you know if any of the Islands preform Sunday weddings?? and I would also like any information that you may have about weddings-
Thank You
Yes you can have weddings on Sundays.
Questions to think about.
Do you want it on a beach?
What island?
On a boat or other fun wedding location?
Are you coming on a cruise or island visit?
Are you wanting to do the wedding yourself or use a wedding planner?
Do you want a big wedding or little?
Perhaps if its an week stay and the wedding then you can have it at a hotel, some hotels have areas they perform weddings at/in.
Have you requested an application from the court?
Did you read the brief wedding section on this web site under General Guide - top of this page?
Answer some of these so we can give you some suggestions/directions.

We just got married Saturday morning on St John on Hawknest beach. It was beautiful. As for the Flower islander they turned out great. It all turned out magical. It was just us, Anne Marie the officiate that married us and the Photographer Alain Brin. They were great I highly recommend them! Could not ask for a better wedding!
And yes you can get married on Sunday you will need to pick up the marriage license (together) Friday or sat morning on St Thomas. Anne Marie accommodated us so well and can answer all your questions.. As Islander mentioned you have a lot to think about, as I learned you can spend a lot or minimize as much as you want by concentrating what is most important to you and the final result will be grand. The main thing I would keep in mind is what we did, keep it simple but treasure the memories (Alain did a great job and also we had a video camera set up). You may email mail me if you have any questions.
Afterwards we snuba, we hiked, rented a jeep that was an adventure just driving on the left side if the roads and those mountainous hills –luckily my husband drove and done great.
thanks also islander for all your advice.
Congrats on your upcoming wedding Jennifer, and congrats on your recent wedding April!! We, too, are marrying on Hawksnest Beach. We leave two weeks from tomorrow, and marry while on a cruise. Not using Anne Marie, but rather Rev. Emmanuel J. (forgot how to spell his last name). We are definitely looking forward to it! What time of day did you marry?
April glad to hear everything went to well. 🙂
Mandy - hope it goes just as well for you... please let us know how it works out for you.
Jennifer you might want to ask the questions you might want to know about you have two people here that just married here, sure they have lots of information on how they got it all together.

Jennifer - I agree with Islander - ask yourself those questions she posted. Then you know what you are looking for. I utilized google.com to search "St john" + "wedding coordinator" and found many websites - read them thoroughly, and learned a lot.. Could simplify it to "St John"+"wedding" and get even more websites. Reading those gave me a lot of insight. That will give you a good idea of specific questions to ask after you have gained a good base knowledge.
If you use a St Thomas wedding coordinator and want to get married on St John, then you may see additional 'site fees'. That's something to consider. But like the questions Islander listed - they are very good questions to help determine exactly what you are looking for.
Good luck!

(I'm getting married on St John in less than three weeks while on a cruise - a Thursday - and took care of the courthouse legalities while there on a land-vacation recently)
I just got married on Megan's Bay a week ago.
We went through Weddings the Island Way and they were excellent. They also do ceremonies in St. John if that is where you prefer. Our wedding was on a Sunday and they had no problem finding a minister. A previous posting said Emmanuel Jaggernauth did Sunday weddings. He actually does not. We requested him since he preformed the ceremony for my mother and father-in-law when they were married in St. Thomas. Good luck!
