Sorry, but I HAVE to ask!!! The weather site says "showers" every day! My common sense tells me that this is just for brief periods, but my emotional sense tells me "OH NO!!!". Please - put my mind at ease! What's your REAL current weather pattern on St. Thomas? We're only 6 days away!
I'm not there, but you know better!!! The weather ALWAYS says that 🙂
There are showers most days...I think they must happen sometime around 4am. When you awaken, the ground, rain fresh scent and opening flowers will reflect that something very necessary and refreshing happened overnight....and then, on key, the sun rises (and so does the heat).
No worries and stop watching the weather. The only visitors who need to watch the VI weather are those planning to go during hurricane season.
Oh, and there are also sometimes daylight showers. It is usually one cloud that you'll see coming. I can stand on the gallery of a home and see that Jost or St John is getting rained on, while the sun is on me on STT...and then, a few minutes later, the cloud moved to my area and sprinkles me for a few minutes before moving on to greet the people in Puerto Rico. It is so fast that it is over before I can close the windows in the house -and the sun stays out the entire time.
I think they has some additional rain last week. Not sure how much. Anyone??
I'm on STX and the weather Saturday and Sunday was partly cloudy and very windy. The seas are rough on the north and northwest shores. There are high surf advisories. No rain to speak of over the weekend.
It wasn't ideal, but I'd spent the week before in Kentucky and the weather on STX looked pretty good to me.
I know you're right, and I accept my scolding - LOL!!! I just couldn't help myself. I promise to ban the "weather" site for the next 6 days!
