The weather has been great. It looks like it may rain late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning.

The weather in the VI is always great, never complain about the rain as it fills up the cisterns, which allow all of us to have water in an area where it does not come cheap.

My experience is that this time of year, rain at night, much sun during day. Plus if you are coming from the cold north, anything is better.

Remember that weather forcasting is an art rather than pure science and actually looks more like a gamble. The USVI are subject to passing showers, usually at night and very short in duration so if that is the case, statisically you have better than a 50% chance of rain. That makes the forcast correct but your perception is for a rainy vacation.
Rain is necessary to keep things green and provide drinking water but unless there is a name associated with the weather happening, don't worry about it.

Ignore the weather reports unless you are going during hurricane season and need to know if the "big one" is coming.

Yes, they show rain every day. And, yes, the rain comes....around 5am...for about 45 minutes.

I've learned to ingore the weather after many years of annual trips. I don't even check. The sun will shine. You'll get a tan if your lucky, burned if you aren't. It will be hot and gloriously sunny.

Read trip reports. You'll see reports where people will say they had a few minutes of sprinkes or clouds, which cleared to fabulous days of fun in the sun.

Don't check the weather. It is useless. Use that time to pack your sunscreen.

The girls will definitely love Woody's and you will too! I have been there many times and going back with another family and children this coming July.

Here is a reliable forecast: in the evening - increasing darkness, followed by increasing light in the morning, with good chance of alcoholic beverages being consumed before noon, followed by sunburn from falling asleep on the beach. And looks like this pattern may be persistant throughout the Virgin Islands.

You want to hit Woody's http://community.webshots.com/photo/547685030/2345819740082606958idtCNi at happy hour. It can be happening place. As for Duffy's hang close the girls. http://community.webshots.com/photo/547685030/2534056740082606958piGYNL Great place lots of fun - defintely a little more wide open.

Been to both many times with our daughter and she really enjoys both. As for Duffy's - I am not a big fan of drinks with lots of fruit juices, 5 different liquors in a cute glass with umbrellas - but they like it.

Remember the parents rule: Nothing good happens after midnight
