It may rain every day for about 15 minutes. Then again, it may not. I hate to sound this way, but it's weather. Ain't a whole heap you can do about it. I've snorkeled in the pouring rain. It's fun.

I'm flying in Sunday...hope to get at least a FEW nice, rain-free days, but the weather forecast doesn't look good 🙁

Looks like you have a few choices.

1) Freak yourself out by worrying that it will rain, even though you can't do anything about it
2) Accept that weather happens and make some contingency plans
3) Reschedule your trip for the "dry" season

Sorry to sound unsympathetic, but this has been discussed over and over and over and over on this board. Most people report that the weather forecast has absolutely no relation to what the weather actually turns out to be on their trip. They also say that yes, it usually rains every day....for 15 minutes. On the other hand, you are going during hurricane season, so I'm not sure what you expected.

Thank you mischievous! I have been sitting on my hands since I first spotted the post; knowing that if I responded my tone would not have been as kind as yours.

After having read your response, I have only two comments to add:

1- I don't know of anyone posting on this board in possession of a crystal ball; don't know how one could possibly predict the weather without one.

2- If you happen to be one of those people who are either deathly afraid of the rain or even worse, melt upon contact with rain--DON'T SCHEDULE YOUR CARIBBEAN VACATION DURING RAINY SEASON!

See, I melt. that's why when I'm on STJ in 2 weeks, I'll be wrapped in 47000 square feet of saran wrap. It's also great for shedding those few last pounds!
