We have a trip to St Thomas planned for May 14 thru 21 and the weather forecast at this point calls for overcast/cloudy and rain everyday. I believe that I have read posts here prior that say not to pay attention to the forecasts because there will be plenty of sun and the showers simply come and go. Is that the case, or does it appear that we are in for a bad weather week?

You're correct sir.

Enjoy your trip.

Our weather reports almost always say the same thing here, but our weather' almost always beautiful. Don't even give it a second thought. I never think about it, and I ride my scoot to work everyday.

Hi Steve!

Here is the NOAA forecast page, which is pretty reliable, from the San Juan Weather Service:

http://www.srh.noaa.gov/data/forecasts/VIZ001.php?warnzone=viz001&warncounty=vic030

Keep in mind that a 20% chance of showers translates to an 80% chance of sunshine, and weather is normally fast-moving here, no buildings to stop the wind from pushing clouds along.

I hope this helps!
