Hi! I am flying into St. Thomas on Friday and the weather report says scattered showers for the whole time that I will be there. Here in NJ scattered showers means overcast and rainy all day! Is it the same there or does it rain & clear up?
"Scattered" means exactly that here....scattered....it might rain...but usually only for 5-20 minutes, then the sun is back out...with rainbows! No need to fret over weather...it's just about always the same this time of year: High - 85, Low - 75, East wind at 5-10kt, chance of rain 20%......in the summer those temps only change to about 90H and 80L....
Thank you so much! Can't wait to get there!!!
Marty is right....but it seems to be a little more of a rainy season than usual this year. Winds are about 15 to 20 knots.
But don't despair.....there still is a lot of sunshine.....and not those cold, single digit temperatures, of NJ.
btw....where in NJ?....I'm from the Jersey Shore....transplanted here for the winter.

FI's right about the increased rain for this time of year - but it's still lovely and the showers are quite brief. Now as to the low temps - although the North side has alway been chilly on winter nights, I've got goosebumps in the country these cold nights (unheard of 65-68!) and haven't had the A/C on in the bedroom for weeks now (ditto unheard of!) Chilly cheers!
