*My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon and are very interested in St. Thomas. The only thing we are worried about is hurricane season. Are the USVI affected by hurricane weather, and if so, when is the peak time for hurricane activity?

Yes, the USVI is periodically hit by hurricanes. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to December 1.

June and July aren't too much to worry about. August starts the peak of it and August & September are the big months for hurricanes.

Here's the hurricane season rhyme...

June - Too Soon
July - Stand By
August - Come, They Must
September -Remember
October- All Over
